The local vegetable tuber used to be part of the daily ration plan of working and draft horses alongside other tubers and turnips. The tuber, also known as "beetroot", is a varied treat that not only makes for red lips, but is also a very trace element-rich side dish that supports the immune system and has an appetite-stimulating, detoxifying and anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor effect.

Olewo beetroot granules are granulated and very gently dried beetroot without any additional additives or flavourings, which combine around 1.2 kg of fresh produce in just 110 g. As dry granules, it can be stored for a long time and should not be missing in the rations of horses during regeneration phases or in the case of immune problems.

Since the Olewo beetroot granules are particularly finely granulated, they are particularly suitable for animals that cannot grind the food well due to their teeth, such as dogs or horses with dental problems.

Beetroot is a good source of natural trace elements. It contains plenty of copper, iron, folic acid, chromium, manganese, zinc and selenium, as well as vitamin B12.
Folic acid and iron are of central importance in blood formation, "folic acid makes you happy" because it activates neurotransmitters in the brain that create positive feelings.
Copper, zinc, manganese and selenium serve as building blocks for many joint diseases. A good supply of these elements is also important for allergic reactions and skin or coat problems.
Betanin, the "beetroot red" of the root, inhibits bacteria and viruses, while the protein building block betaine strengthens the liver and purifies it. Due to its high content of bioactive substances, beetroot is said to have cancer-preventing and tumor-inhibiting effects.
