The Derfen care product combats the symptoms of summer eczema and itching caused by numerous other skin problems (e.g. mud fever, fungi, mites, lice, allergies) with impressive success. It also effectively treats fungi, mycosis and ringworm.
Derfen is a preparation made from high-quality oils and plant extracts - it contains neither cortisone nor medicinal additives, causes neither unwanted side effects nor allergies and is of course not a doping agent.
Its effects are manifold:
1 - Derfen stops the itching of almost all types of skin problems. This can break the vicious circle that occurs in such cases: itching causes stress, which in turn weakens the immune system, thus limiting its defenses and ability to support the natural healing process.
2 - Derfen is only applied when necessary, ie only when the itching occurs again (or when the skin condition worsens, in the case of mycosis, fungi, ringworm) and only on the affected areas of skin. As it does not contain water, it cannot evaporate or be sweated out - it therefore guarantees the horse optimal long-term protection. Depending on the horse, Derfen is applied at intervals of 3 to 10 days - the time saved compared to conventional products, which usually have to be used once or twice a day, is considerable.
3 - Derfen acts as a repellent and thus permanently protects your horses from further insect bites and pest attacks. However, do not use it as a preventative measure - the Culicuides mosquitoes (black flies, midges) or other parasites responsible for summer eczema may only appear at a later date!
4 - Derfen supports the supply of moisture to the upper layer of skin, has a moisturizing effect and regenerates its protective film. The new growth of the fur is stimulated.
The relief of symptoms is impressive both in the early and advanced stages of skin diseases. However, Derfen is not a medicine and therefore cannot cure the disease. We therefore recommend that you have a precise diagnosis made by a veterinarian and use Derfen in addition to the treatment prescribed by the doctor (desensitization, bactericide, etc.).
Derfen does not cause skin irritation. However, if applied too frequently, it can clog the pores (as with any oily product applied in excess). As long as your horse does not rub again, a new treatment is unnecessary - and should even be avoided!
Be sure to shake the bottle before each use! Since Derfen is made from high-quality oils and plant extracts, the preparation must be mixed well before each treatment. This combines the phases and guarantees optimal effectiveness.
Application of Derfen
1 - Shake the bottle before each use.
2 - Tip: Wear gloves to avoid transferring the strong smell to your hands.
3 - Apply the product as needed - do not renew the treatment until your horse starts rubbing again! Apply only to the affected, rubbed skin areas and only the necessary amount - excess could clog the skin pores (as with any product containing fat).
4 - Derfen is not effective in preventing skin problems when symptoms are visible.
Application for summer eczema
1 - Apply Derfen directly to the skin - pay particular attention to the mane and base of the tail, as well as to areas prone to chafing.
2 - The next day, the skin may be covered with crusts - signs that Derfen is starting to work. Before each application, gently remove the crusts with a brush (without rubbing too hard) to eliminate the dead skin cells so that the new treatment can really penetrate.
3 - If the itching recurs, reapply Derfen. Since the thickness of the skin varies from horse to horse, the frequency of treatment must be adapted to the specific epidermis. Applying it too often could cause slight skin irritation, and applying it too rarely will obviously limit its effectiveness!
4 - Derfen keeps away mosquitoes whose bites are responsible for the appearance of sweet itch. It forms a very effective protective barrier. It does not cure, as it is an allergy, but it does improve the appearance of the skin and the life of our four-legged friends in an impressive way!
Application for mud fever
1 - First, clean the legs with antiseptic soap. Gently brush the affected areas. Be very gentle so as not to damage the horse.
2 - Rinse and dry the legs thoroughly.
3 - Then apply an antiparasitic. You should renew the treatment after about 10 days.
4 - At the same time, apply Derfen daily to all affected areas. It has a re-greasing effect and moisturizes the wounds, and also stimulates the growth of fur. Derfen also protects against new pest attacks.
5 - Use Derfen regularly to prevent mud fever from recurring.
