HEADSHAKING - HEAD SHAKING
in horses can have many causes. Most horses start with the typical head shaking in spring/summer.
Sunlight causes increased photosensitivity in horses.
Bright sunlight irritates the horse's trigeminal nerve , a large facial nerve, and causes itching and the horse begins to shake its head.
Allergies can also trigger this condition.
The food should therefore always be kept as allergen-free as possible
Other factors can also trigger headshaking:
- problems with the teeth
- sinus infections
- a viral infection
- otitis media
- Lyme disease
- Bornavirus
A special herbal mixture and the supplementation of zinc and B vitamins can support this disease.
Through a sufficient supply of active ingredients, which are also contained in the herbs, the susceptibility to allergies is reduced
